Amsterdam, November 24, 2011 – Login Consultants released Login VSI 3.5; a new version of the benchmarking tool for VDI and SBC infrastructures. This update offers new analysis and comparison possibilities and simplifies usage and deployment even further.

The virtualization market offers many choices and develops rapidly. Many companies acknowledge that tests are necessary for making the right decisions for their specific situation, but the complexity of these tests prevents them from doing so. Login VSI provides insight in performance and scalability of VDI and SBC environments by simulating user workloads. The introduction of Login VSI 3.5 offers even more ease of use and enhanced analysis options.

“Login VSI is developed specifically for (vendor) independent benchmarking of virtualized desktop infrastructures and is becoming the worldwide industry standard for testing SBC and VDI environments” said Jeroen van de Kamp, CTO Login Consultants. “Almost every large vendor uses Login VSI for research and development in their laboratory. This encouraged us to enhance Login VSI with more options to gain detailed test results”.

Login VSI now visualizes the differences between results in one chart, helps to recognize trends and provides insight in the RemoteFX performance on virtual machine level and hypervisor level. In addition to more analysis options, Login VSI 3.5 is also easier to setup and use. It is no longer required to install Login VSI on every launcher and test cycles can be fully automated. Other new features include the ability to pause a test and to automatically reset workloads when a session freezes.

About Login VSI

Login Consultants’ Virtual Session Indexer (Login VSI) is a unique tool to measure performance and scalability. Login VSI is developed specifically for vendor-independent testing of centralized desktop environments such as Server Based Computing (SBC) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). Because Login VSI is a 'turn-key' performance measurement solution, it is installed within days and applicable without additional scripting.

By simulating user workloads, the tool is able to test and predict the impact of changes in hardware or software, on the performance of your SBC or VDI infrastructure. With Login VSI, you will never be surprised by unexpected performance issues. Login VSI also enables you to make objective decisions by enabling you to test different hardware and software solutions in your environment.

Login VSI is designed to simply and quickly measure the maximum capacity of your current infrastructure. The simulated users work with the same applications as a regular employee such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer. You can also add custom applications to tests.

Login VSI is becoming the worldwide industry standard for SBC and VDI benchmarking and is now used by key vendors such as Microsoft, Intel, Citrix, HP, Dell, IBM, Cisco, EMC, Fujitsu and KPN.
