Service Account in use by KACE

Hi,

So KACE has been in my environment for some time. No one seems to know the service account being used by KACE to allow Admin privilege.

Where would I find out what account KACE is using to access our domain?

Thanks

If you are on a more recent SMA build you should be able to go to Settings and Credentials, where you can see the credentials that are stored on the KACE box, one of which should have been used to distribute your agent. Once you have the login name you can then go to your AD to get access to that account.

This would be something your active directory people should tell you.

Don't they know?

Also, you could go into the navigation bar....

Home ---> Label management ---> LDAP labels

Now look through your LDAP labels and see which ones have an active status.

Click on one and see the name in the"Login" field.

This should let you know the user name to look for in active directory.

  • Yeah unfortunately almost our entire dept is new. We have been cleaning up one mess after another. Tracking down info like this that wasnt documented is one of problems. Thanks for the response. - Shodakan 4 years ago
  • So what happens if none of them are enabled? - Shodakan 4 years ago
