• Summary: We have seen some cases where K1000 appliance users who had Symantec Corporate Antivirus (10.1.5.5) deployed on their machines that it can cuses the KBOX management service to not startup. 
  • Symptoms: Symantec Corporate Antivirus can cause the kbox management service not to start
  • Cause: Symantec Corporate antivirus stops the service from starting
  • Steps to resolve issue:

In the Advanced section of the File System Auto-Protect, if it is set to Startup at System Start (default), it will kill the KBOXManagement service. If you set it to Startup at Symantec Antivirus Start, then it will not kill the K1000 agent service.
