Windows 10 1909 Installer

We have some laptops and desktops on version 1809 and need to move them off of it. We do not want to move the units to version 2004 that was just released. Does anybody know where to find the actual version 1909 installer so we can manually upgrade the 1809 clients? Microsoft has of course removed that installation option.

Thanks

  • Are you a KACE SMA customer? i ask because version 10.1 now deploys Windows 10 feature updates. - olgonzo 3 years ago
    • I am a KACE SMA customer, but its 10.2 that has the ability to deploy the Feature Updates, which makes this whole post kind of moot I suppose. I will be updating to 10.2. - TIHWR2010 3 years ago

Your best bet is to have a look on Microsoft volume licence.

But if you don't have access to VL, and you are trying to obtain the 1909 media via the consumer web downloader/installer, then you've missed the boat I'm afraid.

I don't recommend obtaining it from a third party site, as there is no hash where you can verify the media.

Best bet, give a your friends a call who have access to VLK (;

Are you using KACE SMA? If yes, latest SMA 10.2 release supports Windows 10 Feature Update. Using SMA 10.2 admins can upgrade Windows 10 devices to Version 1903 or 1909.

  • When is version 10.2 getting rolled out? I still don't see it in my appliance update area. - DLCurtis 3 years ago
    • SMA 10.2 was released last month. Currently upgrading approximately 100 customer appliances a day. If you have not seen a notification for the upgrade, you will see it sooner or later. If you are interested in upgrading sooner, then feel free to reach out to KACE Support and they will help you get in the list. - mehulpatel2012 3 years ago
  • I'm not sure when it is getting rolled out. I don't see it either in my appliance. I was thinking of logging a ticket with Quest and asking. I typically apply appliance updates by letting the appliance do it instead of manually applying them. - TIHWR2010 3 years ago
