Why can't my KBOX do this?

I'm a HUGE KACE supporter and while looking for easy ways to update the bajillion versions of Adobe Reader and Acrobat Standard we have in our environment, I came across this.  https://www.massdeploy.com/software-packages/

HOLY SMOKES!

This is what I need!  Gone are the days of building packages and all that garbage.  Click and deploy.

Both can be updated/patched using K1000's patching.

  • I've been trying for days to get it to patch Adobe Standard and I'm not having any luck. I will be calling support later today. - petelanglois 8 years ago
    • Make sure your subscriptions are set to get the proper Adobe updates. Between that and smart labels you should be able to accomplish what you desire to do. Hopefully support can give you a hand. - rockhead44 8 years ago

For Adobe products you can also use their installers they provide to distributors:
https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

They provide MSI files for most of their products that make it fairly easy to install them. Using that you can create managed installs and target all or some of your computers in the K1000.

  • So I figured out my goof on the Adobe stuff. I forgot to add it to the detect phase.

What I saw on that page was a bunch of apps where I don't have to do anything. I just select the app and go. I don't have to download packages, repackage, turn off autoupdates, etc. Just select and go. This is where the K1 and K2 should be headed. - petelanglois 8 years ago
