Send email before Due Date

I am looking for more information on this link -> http://www.itninja.com/question/help-desk-rules-help-solved. The script link that is mentioned in the comments does not work (Page cannot be displayed/no information).
Basically I am looking for an email alert to be generated - 2 days before a ticket is due - and then again on the day it is due. I know it will need to be a custom rule - just not sure how to implement.
