Oracle Home v. Oracle Base

OK you smart guys,

In Oracle response files there's an Oracle_Home and Oracle_base
can't really determine the difference (not documented in the rsp file templates) or why it would make any diff. what Oracle Base is so I just made them the same as Oracle_Home

Any drawbacks to that?

Thanks in advance

Oracle_base is the top level location of the oracle install. ie. c:\oracle
Oracle_home is the sub directory of oracle_base where you've installed oracle i.e c:\oracle\Oracle9i

To be honest, I thought a man of your experience would have googled it [:D]

cheers
