How to enable disabled patches?

Hello people! I want to implement a STU patch (KB4552152) but find it disabled in the patch catalog

How can I change the status of a disabled patch?

What conditions must be met?

The patch is already labeled "Security updates" this tag is already added in a patch program that runs daily. In subscriptions I don't have any tags added so I can download any patch as I have no disk space issues. What else would I have to check?

thank you for your support. Best regards!

  • What version of the SMA?

Typically, when patches are not included under the subscription section are marked as disabled. - KevinG 3 years ago

In the latest SMA release there has been a change in that previously if you had not subscribed to a patch it would not download, however in the latest release KACE is now starting to show every single patch but the ones that do not match your subscription are shown as disabled. For an example we do not have "Full Software" (previously  software installer) selected in our subscriptions however we can see every possible installer in our patch catalog with the status set to disabled.

I'm not sure how helpful that is if you are running live updates on your SMA, perhaps some feedback to product management at KACE may help ;o)
