How can i automate patching for Adobe Reader, Flash Player and Java

Hello,

I need some tips regarding automation of patching for Adobe Reader, Flash Player and Java.

For example lets say we have Adobe Reader 11.0.0, is it possible to make a patching schedule based on the Patching Catalog that detects the latest patches of the application and installs them ?

Best regards,
Adrian

John gives a great overview. Did you have jump start training? This is usually reviewed in that is why I ask. You will want to subscribe to the patches using smart labels and then set schedules once you have the subscribed patches.

Also, watch some of these KKEs to get a better understanding of patching.

I (and many others) patch systems using the K1000 and, once properly configured, it is a process you set and let the K1000 do the work for you. I patch Flash, Reader, Shockwave and other apps. Used to patch Java but don't anymore as I have to stay on one version.
