Dell Updates Issue

Has anyone seen an issue with Dell Updates coming up either "not scheduled" or erroring out after 5 minutes for machines that clearly fit the smart label and have been patched using dell updates before?

  • I have been getting this. It seems to happen when the system needs a reboot to install an item. I've noticed the reboots don't seem to happening on their own in the current version. Hoping that changes in version 10. I've been rebooting and running it again after rebooting but that isn't practical if running on a lot of systems. - jmogle 4 years ago
  • Thanks for your response. Sorry I am so delayed in acknowledging it. I might have solved the issue by deleting the machine out of KACE and letting it re-populate. However, I found a new issue, where dell updates are downloading, but failing to deploy, yet saying they "completed". It appears the issue is with this line, which I found in the agent log:

    [2019-09-24.12:33:53][KPlugins(7588):KLaunchClientImpl] KLaunchClientImpl::Wait WaitForSingleObject failed: status 0, ExitCode 1

    Any thoughts? - jmorton 4 years ago
  • I am having the same issue. The upgrades clearly download to the machine with no issue but they never trigger to install. - casnider 4 years ago
