Connecting to the Kace Database via ODBC/Filemaker/Mac

Has anyone using a Mac had success using a 3rd party tool (like Filemaker) to connect to the K1000 Database to run reports? If so, how did you do it?

I'm trying to connect to K1000 database via Filemaker, so I can run reports using it. I'm on a Mac. I followed instructions for Kace (http://www.kace.com/support/resources/kb/solutiondetail?sol=114992) and for Filemaker (http://www.filemaker.com/help/13/fmp/en/html/odbc_ess.20.2.html#1027549) . No luck.

I opened port 3306 via TCP and enabled database access in the Kace environment. I also installed a MYSQL driver from the MYSQL website.

Any help is appreciated.

  • MYSQL Workbench did not work. I did verify via terminal my computer can connect to the SQL database. However, I can't connect through My Workbench. I noticed the instructions I was given are for Windows. Do they differ for Macs?
