cmd / bat files not working properly as custom actions
Hi, I’ve been having an issue with the start /wait not working in my cmd / batch files once I’ve created a custom action with Install shield. The msi will run and kick off the custom action but it doesn’t actual do anything. It runs but closes out too quickly. The custom action is responsible for installing the application. The funny thing is the cmd / batch files work great outside of the msi. Has anyone found a solution to this type of behavior? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

Have you tried using a:
WshShell.Run(command that would normally be in a batch file), 1, True
at all via a vbscript instead? I've had success in the past with a similar problem regarding batch files.
