Can you explain exactly what you are trying to achieve here... Do you wish to publish the shortcuts to a folder on the desktop for one application(straight forward) or are you wanting to publish all application shortcuts from all virtualised applications on the publishing server to the same folder on the desktop?

Yes, that is possible although it is not immediately obvious how to do so since App-V Sequencer by default shows Desktop itself as one of the possible targets.

When you define application shortcut locations in the Sequencer (and the exact screen in wizard now depends on if you're on 4.6 SP1 or earlier, in SP1 you need to do additional customization for the package to get screen where you can customize what apps to publish and have control over their shortcuts), instead of selecting Desktop as a shortcut target you need to edit list of locations manually and add "%CSIDL_DESKTOP%\My folder" or whatever that folder is you need.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
