Dell Patching fails with Popup "Invalid Command Line"

While updating Dell Clients (I seen the issue on a Optiplex 360 and also on a Latitude E6530) using KACE (or other applications) the update may fail with this popup on the client:

It is caused because the /s (silent) switch seems not bo be supported on some BIOS updates anymore.

This should reported to KACE or better Dell for getting a correct update package.

  • I don't submit this to KACE Support :) I know now what the cause is. The "/s" switch was not compiled into the DUP by accident. Also Win7 is affected (screenshot is only from WiXP) As far as I have seen, the Linux DUP are not affected. - Nico_K 10 years ago
