Wise Script Editor: Getting variable value from Custom Dialog in to INI

Hi Experts,

I need a help very urgently: I have a scenario is - during the client installation i have to enter the server name/ip which has to create/modify a entry of server name/ip in a Client INI. I have used a Custom Dialog screen to enter server name/ip. but the server name/ip value is not creating a entry in INI.

Please let me know any solution if you came across. Thanks a lot for your help.

you can use custom action to call vbscript that can edit your ini file and to pass ur wise variables to this vbs you will use Session.Property("wisevariablename")

best suggestion i can think of is verbose log (/l*v <path to log file>)

then look and see when the INI files are written/updated which path it's looking for. If it's not rasing an error it may just be looking in the wrong place (if you're telling it to update an existing INI file then you have to make sure to set up the path correctly. maybe do a system search to find the name of the INI file, then read the path into a property)
