Windows XP Deployment Issues

Righto , ive seen some weird issues in my time - but this just takes the biscuit,

I have an ISO For Windowx XP Service Pack 3 -
Ive uplodade it to Kace
I can create a scripted installation for it
But when I script it to a Laptop it seems like parts of it are "missing"...windows boots fine in to the desktop , but then all the default windows applications and icons are missing like Internet Explorer , MSN , Media Player etc etc....
But if i script the installation on to a desktop computer - it installs it fine !!

My head is just done in with this !! Any ideas people ?? I've never seen this before - it also worked fine on my demo Kace 2000 box !!

i did all that before posting - I even build an optiplex pc with the same scripted install and it deploys fine.
Now , I also burnt the iso image of xp on to a cd and build the laptop from that and it worked fine !!
this is doing my noggin in !! I've had major teething problems with my live kace box - the demo one worked like a dream

Right - I know what the problem is - but not sure what the solution is !

I removed all the Windows XP Drivers that were harvested to the k2000 server and recached - and then I rebuild my laptops - and Windows XP installed fully !!
Very very odd !!
