Why do I need to delete the contents of the Dell\Kace\Patches directory?

Why do I need to delete the Patches contents just prior to running a patch schedule each time?

I have a few servers that were moved to the DMZ and failed to patch even though they still communicate. If I delete the contents of the Patches directory, then patches will deploy from Kace and install. If I run a patch schedule with Detect only, it will still fail on a DMZ server but deleting the Patches contents will then allow a detection to run. I deleted the Patches contents on a DMZ server yesterday and it detected without error. I tried running a Detect and Deploy today, but it failed. I deleted the patches contents and tried and again and the patch schedule succeeded with the Detect and Deploy.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.
