Troubleshooting and monitoring application distribution
Hi,
I have a few questions about application distribution and SCCM
1- How can I monitor (or show the status) of a distributed application in SCCM? ( for instance: Is there a log file available which shows me the succesfull/not succesfull distributions to a collection?)
2- What are the steps and tools to troubleshoot a distributed application in SCCM?
I' have installed the ConfigMgr2007 Toolkit, with a lot of tools and logs but I need al little help to start.
Best regards,

Sounds like you need a training course, or at the very least the 'Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Administrators Companion' from Microsoft Press, written by Steven D. Kaczmarek with the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager Team. - ISBN-13 978-0-7356-2385-9.
In answer to your questions:
1. Use the Reports function in SCCM, you can view the status of an advertisement from there, along with many other things.
2. Look at the SCCM client and server logs for troubleshooting, or configure your program commandline to include a log which will assist you as SCCM doesn't always get the exact error reported back to it.
Thanks,
