Sun Java 1.6 with UAC

Hello guys I have some problems with Sun Java (JRE) Update 1.6 with Windows Vista Enterprise using UAC...

The Issue:

When I installed the vendor package installation, the first user can use applets normally, but the other users (newer or not) the same applets does not running appearing: "access denied" error, but when I disabled the UAC the applets running normally to all users.

Applets: http://java.sun.com/applets/jdk/1.4/index.html
Java installation Test: http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

Guys do you have any idea How can I use the JRE using UAC to all users ???

Thanks and regards!

to take a lead out of Ians book. I would suggest getting out procmon and monitoring whats causing the access denied errors.

at first guess i would assume that profile related items (there are a few with java) are not getting deploying to the currently logged on users account.

Procmon will prove that for sure though. If you don't know how to do it theres a good post by Ewall at www.ewall.org relating to setting package permissions which can be leveraged to determine the cause.

I run the procmon and I performed the configuration over other profile users (.dll, Directory Structure, files configurations) and the instance pass but the UAC block the applet telling me the same errors.

I read in the Forum Sun, telling the developers need implement a new class objects rewrinting the code, doing the applets running without a high privilegies.

But it still a ISSUE because a lot web applications has a legacy codes and it has a lot of cost to rewriting the code!

Today I am studying the SHIMS, I hope that will help me....

Any other ideas?

Thanks and Regards
