Shortcut broken when logging in as different user
When I install the MSI an advertised shortcut is created and works fine. But
when I login as a different user the same shortcut fails, its properties show
a blank for the Target box. Yet the app itself is installed OK and runs under
any user if I manually double-click its EXE.
Why would the shortcut fail when I log in as a different user? The MSI was a
per machine install.

ur shortcut is not pointing to the right component. Check the working directory for ur shortcut. Open the msi again using Wise/Installshield and edit ur shortcut.
