I just want to know if there is a way to test sending email to create a ticket in a non production environment. I am testing out the section where user are able to create ticket via sending email to k1000.


is there a very minimal setup that is easy and very quick, just be able to send email to k1000? i tried lots of smtp server with other email client but i could only get a way to receive email from k1000.

Does your KBOX have a hostname on the network? Before ours was in production it was still setup with a proper hostname, e.g. kace.ourdomain.edu. Emails sent to helpdesk@kace.ourdomain.edu routed to the KBOX and generated tickets without any problems.
