SAS EG with quiet.ini file
I am trying to create a silent install for SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1 using the quiet.ini file. I had no problem creating the quiet.ini (using the "record" switch against the .exe) but when I run it, I get errors about language resources not being available. (I'm not trying to install any additional languages). When I run the install manually, there are no errors. Does anyone have any experience with the SAS quiet.ini file that might help?

What a hideous mess the SAS installer is. I ended up capturing it because I couldn't get the slient install to actually install anything when deployed using Group Policy: it ran but install nothing. Although *very* helpful, SAS Support gave a very feeble excuse as to why their not using MSI, the detail of which I can't recall. On the helpful front, I posted a query on their web site (there was no 'phone number that I could find...) shortly after 4pm on a Friday and got a call before 10am the following Monday. In comparison with just about *any* IT company the size of SAS, I consider *that* a gold-star response.
