SAS EG 4.1

Application name: SAS EG
Version: 4.1

Issue: Want to configure Menu options
Tools->Output Library->Select "SASUser"->Click "Up"->Click "Ok"

I want to configure this settings in SAS for all users with the help of modifying registry entries or config file.

Since this application is a bulky, I dont want to take a set capture + changes are also very minute.

I have already taken a snapshot, but seems the configurations are nnot reflecting in USER mode.(reflects in admin mode)

I have tried giving permissions. All i need to know is, is there any config file, which can help me to do the modification

Modifications are as follows....

(Before modifications )

EGTASK

SASUSER

(After modification)

SASUSER

EGTASK

thats all....

~thanks a lot,
happy packaging!

The config settings you are looking for are a part of the user information i.e. hkcu keys. I suggest you use Active Setup for the same.
Security Permissions might be needed when the logged in normal user will require some registry keys created in hklm. Then I suppose you capture these keys and add it to your package or provide permission to those particular keys.

Use a lightweight snapshot tool like Ziff-Davis's In Control (Google for 'InCtrl5.ZIP') or a similar tool which will show before-and-after file & registry changes. Then simply incorporate the *relevant* changes in your transform file.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
