Registry comparison tool
For once, a question from me...
I'm looking for the equivalent of Beyond Compare for registry comparison. Note that the requirement is NOT for a 'Before' and 'After' tool but something where I can have two registries side-by-side on-screen. And no, a registry-export-followed-by-a-text-compare is NOT acceptable!
To head off any smart Alec responses about Google, try the search yourself. All you'll get is endless links for 'Before' and 'After' tools like RegShot.

What about notepad++
You have to add the compare addin i think but here its possible to line it side-by-side and see the difference

I don't want to export 2 registries and then load them into a comparison tool. That's just too kludgy. I want to point the tool at 2 machines and have it show me both registries side-by-side, highlighting any differences.

Er...is that a text-comparison plug-in? As I mentioned, I'm not interested in that kind of thing, as Beyond Compare already does file comparison which I could use IF I wanted to export both registries. Which I don't...
