Check out the ASE Registry wizard, it writes script to add/read/write/delete registry values using a GUI interface in VBScript, KiXtart or AutoIt.

Or use an "AppSearch" to read the registry value into a public property which you can then use in the value column of the "Registry" table.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/msi/setup/searching_for_a_registry_entry_and_creating_a_property_holding_the_value_of_the_registry.asp

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/msi/setup/registry_table.asp

Notice that the "Value" column of the "Registry" table is "formatted"...

Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
