Radia is actually the current name of the product. It was originally called EDM from Novadigm, and a couple (maybe three) years ago EDM evolved into the new aplication Radia. This past year, Hewlett Packard (HP) purchased Novadigm, and they are currently working on providing their branded application called "HP Open View OS Manger using Radia".

Radia is a strong, and complex application that will allow for total Electronic Software Distribution, along with Configuration Management. It works on a "desired state" model, and it allows for component level, or monitor mode, or drop and execute type software installations. Your distributions can be self helaing if you so desire, and patch and version states can be captured and managed as well.

It's a superb product that works extremely well IF (and only if) you have strong procedures and processes in place surrounding your image management.

Hope this helps.
