Question: Does the "parent" ticket stay open thoughout the process?

Answer: yes it does

Question :Once the "process" is completed they can then go back and close the Parent,

Answer: yes they can.

Question: is the parent closed and opens the next step/TT?

Answer: No, all the child tickets will release based on the stage you set them at. When all the child ticekts are closed, the Parent can be closed manually or you can write a ticket rule that will automatically close the Parent.

  • So the first child/step will be stage 1 and the second will be stage 2..etc to the last step.
  • You can have as many tickets in each stage so what you said you could do or you could have as an example, 5 tickets in stage 1 and 5 tickets in stage 2. The stage 2 tickets won't be released until all of stage 1 tickets are closed.
  • Nice. This will be rather useful. Gracias.
