PreInstallation Task Failed

For some unknown reason , i cant get my scripted installation to work - it was working yesterday. But now no matter which scripted installation I choose (win7,vista,Xp) - i get the error "Preinstallation Task Failed - do you want to contiune?"

the preinstallation tasks on all 3 scripts installs are almost the same

Create Single Partition
Format C: as NTFS
Install ** MBR

It seems to be ceashing at the create single partition option - the only thing I since I did a scripted installation since yesterday was to upload Windows xp drivers.

Any clue ?

think Ive figure this out.....

Its something to do with the SATA operation mode in BIOS.
Its set as RAID on by default , which the diskpart formats , but when Windows XP starts installing , it blue screens.
If you go back into the BIOS and set it to ATA mode , the diskpart can't see the disk properly for some reason - and gives the preinstallation task failed message !
