Pls i need an urgent advise on how to allow users to install the driver for a USB Dongle.
The app comes with its own driver called WIBU-KEY.

Can't you use repackager to capture the installation?

I think I have repackaged a application using that WIBU-Key..... Don't remember what who...

I am not really sure, but I think that my WIBU-KEY-USB-Dongle was attached to the FlexLM-Server...

Repackaging drivers isn't a great idea, but it can be done within MSI. You also need to consider whether the drivers are digitally signed and whether your users will have rights to load the drivers if they are unsigned.

You could use MS DifXApp or the PNP driver template. See the links above in my previous post.

I haven't used that, but I have used DifXApp. Basically you need to stick all your driver files (.sys, .inf, .cat) into a folder (eg c:\program files\manufacturer\model\driver) and ensure all the files belong to the same component, with the inf as the keypath. Add the difx merge module. Add the component name to the MsiDriverPackages table, with appropriate flags.
