.pdf extension gets deleted after uninstallation
Hi,
We are packaging one application. After uninstallation .pdf extension gets deleted. What will be the best approach, to retain it, after uninstallation of our package so that other apps will not get affected?

move the extension registry to new component and make the component permanent

But after uninstallation of my application, if registry is shared, or still it is being used, then if we launch any pdf file, then it will try to launch with my application. As I have uninstalled my application it will look for the program. For user it may be an awkward situation.

What I would do is trigger a repair of whatever application you want to reclaim the association after uninstalling the product
