Hi,

Is it necessary to use the ORK to create mst for outlook2003 msi.

My requirment is to do the default silent installation of outlook 2003.

Can I simply create one .mst file without using the ORK.

Will it work fine.

Please suggest.

PS: I wanted to avoid using ORK as this is a a default installation and also using ORK create various unwanted entries in .mst.

Regards,
DJ

Anyway, thanks for your reply.

Just wanted to check why it is necessary to use ORK. I can create my .mst file using orca and using this .mst my outlook installs fine.

please advise if you know why it is important to use ORK

Thanks..

please advise if you know why it is important to use ORK It's because Office MSIs are extremely complex (hence my "masochist" comment). The ORK knows how to "talk" to it.
