Orca file remove
Hi all,
I'm trying to remove some files with orca in de file table (some shortcuts i placed to desktop during installation)... they all are .lnk files (shortcuts) ... when ik delete them from te database , save the file and run the msi then i get an error i looked up the erros and it seems i forgot to delete a component with it .

_1706 F_1710|Shortcut to MSPUB.lnk 828
Can someone help me to delete this keys ... what do i have to do to make it work .

If I were you, I'd download an app called InstEdit. Then, in your file table look at the row of the file you wish to delete. Get the component name from the 'Component_' column. Go to the 'Component' table. Search for this component by looking in the 'Component' column. Delete the row.
The nifty thing about this application is when you try to delete a row, it will then display a 'tree view' of any foreign keys that this row relates to. In this case, it will show you if any other files/registry etc exists in the same component. If you deem the component safe to delete (maybe it doesn't have any other files/registry values contained in it) then delete it. This will then delete any rows in other tables that reference this component.
