Oracle 8 stalls on install with Wise

Hello, I am attempting to install a package for Oracle 8. After building the package with Wise Package Studio 7 I run it on a test machine and the installation stalls at the very end and won't proceed. When I cancel out of the install everything appears to be installed but the app links don't work and when I try uninstall using msiexec /x to start over I get the error that the product is not installed. I attempt to install it again and the 2nd time it always runs through just fine and it install ok with no errors. The app works fine after that. I did a log file under both instances, the first stall and the subsequent success and found that the pause occurs on the "Installfinalize" action. On the second try it hits this and proceeds just fine, but the fist time it stalls on this.

I am at a loss to understand why this might be occuring, does anyone have any suggestions?

I added the path enviromental variable pointing to the odbc drivers as suggested on this site elsewhere but that didn't seem to help.

Thanks very much,

Jason

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did review that information and attempted to implement the suggestion provided therein but it didn't seem to help.
