office2007 configuration

Im trying to package Office2007 for one of our customers. The installasation runs fine.
My main problems shows when i try to launch outlook.exe
I want to launch outllook by using a custom.prf

I thought if i added a key to the following path(i thought this path worked like activesetup)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\12.0\User Settings

it would be copied down to the hkcu settings.
So i added this key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\12.0\User Settings\Outlook\Create\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\setup]
"ImportPRF"="C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Office\\custom12.prf"

Somehow this key dont seems to be generated. Any idea why this dont work

If you haven't done so already, have a look in the notes section of the Package Knowledgebase entry for Office 2007

http://itninja.com/link/office-2007-setup-properties

one of the notes in there suggests that for each subkey of

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\12.0\User Settings

that you add, you will need to have a "Count"=dword:00000001 and "Order"=dword:00000001

Perhaps you have overlooked this ?

you will need to have a "Count"=dword:00000001...because Microsoft doesn't know how to enumerate registry keys and values LOL.

Hehe Thx for the help spartacus just saw this article after i post the request. Did not quite get it work bt following the knowledge base aricle you refering to.

But solved it by importing the custom.prf into the OCT.
