Office 2003 uninstalls after reboot

Hi
I have Office 2003 distributed in my network using GPO. It has worked fine for 3 years! Last week I installed a new PC with Vista. The Office 2003 GPO didn't kick in, so I tried to trigger it manually. The software the installed successfully. But after a reboot, the software is gone again. The event viewer on Vista is not telling me anything... this issue is only found on this computer - the GPO works fine anywhere else! Any suggestions? Where should I start to search?
Hope someone can help me solve this issue...

Enable the MSI logging policy (use the 'verbose' switch). Remember to disable it when you're done, as it logs *all* MSI activity!

Have activated the policy on the correct GPO now... Where do I find the logs generated?

%SystemRoot%\TEMP, as documented on MSDN. Or, for which a search for "*.log" dated today would have located.

Logs are prefixed 'MSI' and named with a random 4- to 6-character alphanumeric name and a .LOG extension. You'll need to use a text search tool (I use the DOS command FIND) to locate the actual log concerned.

Thanx for your reply. I found the log files, but cannot figure out whats wrong. Is there any thing special I should search for?

The log file states:

Please use the CODE tag when posting code or other lengthy text like log files.

The entry you're interested in in this case is MSI (c) (88:D0) [09:41:57:687]: MainEngineThread is returning 1612 That error http://itninja.com/question/help-with-msi-13270 means that the source media is unavailable.
