ODBC settings.

Does anybody know how I can have an MSI create ODBC settings that would remain after the MSI is uninstalled.

put them all under one component and set the component attributes to not remove on uninstall.

The attribute being msidbComponentAttributesPermanent 16 -- in the words of the great MSDN:

If this bit is set, the installer does not remove the component during an uninstall. The installer registers an extra system client for the component in the Windows Installer registry settings.

amen.

Thanks for the help, now I won't be totally bald just the patch I pulled out yesterday.
