New to Packaging...Help?
I recently inherited the responsibility of packaging all applications and patches for my Company's PCs. We use BMC"s Blade Logic Client Automation. From just basic market research, I can see that it isn't one of the top companies for software package/deployment. I have had only brief experience with it and made a few packages but seem to spend most of my time trying to figure out how to use the interface. Programs like Flexera seem more capable and intuitive just from the demos I've seen on their website. Has anyone else used BMC? Does anyone have any helpful advice for me?

Good thing to start is ask your company if they can send you to a BMC training. If you are in Asia, I think there is one in Singapore. The rest is in US or Canada I think.

For packaging applications use Installshield/Wise Package Studio. BMC Blade Logic is generally used for deploying applications
