New Network Core - Looking for best practices for cable management suggestions

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for recommendations and/or best practices for cabling of a New Network Core. We are about to deploy a new network so we have an opportunity to get the cabling right from the start. The old core is a mess with little or no cable management. We will have a lot of copper and fibre connections terminating in one rack. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Physically label each cable, if possible use different colors for different uses (IE: we use Green for management, Black for V-motion, ect...), get some of the Velcro strips to use on bundles of cables. Enjoy! Building a core from scratch would be a lot of fun!

I don't ever deal with networking, but here's a Stack Exchange post that may be helpful: http://serverfault.com/questions/26462/how-do-you-organise-the-cables-in-your-racks
