MYOB14 (Ver 2004) Error 20000 Message

[font="Times New Roman"]Ref: Myob 14 (Ver 2004) Error 20000 Message

hi there everyone - who may be able to help us out, :-)

What triggered our problem started like this.
Our scenerio: The user open Myob 14 software from computer B, to open the Myob file saved in computer A. We haven't had Myob 14 software installed in computer B. Therefore the Myob 14 icon on computer B is a shortcut linked to the Myob 14 software installed in computer A.

The problem: When the user open the Myob file that was saved in computer A, using computer B. An error message came out as follows.

"Error 20000 was encountered when opening the M-Powered Services Centre data file.
Please contact MYOB M-Powered Services Support for details:"

The user has contacted MYOB support about this but the solution given to the user didn't work. Myob support suggested to the user to backup the Myob file saved into computer A. Than copy the backup Myob file from computer A to computer B. Than open the backup file from computer B, and that should solve our problem. So we need other solutions that one of you can suggest to us.

Thank you!

When running via the shortcut across the network the pc still wants to access local files so just do a local install on the second pc but use the shortcut to the first. This way all changes will be saved on the server (machine A) and all is well.
