MS Streets and Trips 2009 Error
Hi All,
I am packaging MS streets and Trips 2009. The application installs fine but when i launch the application i am getting the below error message.
The application volume license state is invalid. Please uninstall and reinstall the application to correct this '0'
Please suggest me what could be the problem.

looks to me like the license is not valid ;-)
What parameters are you using to install, I am throwing a wild guess out due to the lack of information you have provided. But I would say your isntalling in quiet mode and dropping license validation CA's from the installation. See if you have any CA's in the UI sequence that can be moved across to the InstallExecute sequences.

I am having the same error message on two computer, but it is working on 7 others correctly. I did not do any packaging or anything. I just did a straight install from the cd's. I have posted this on to the microsoft discussion group's web page at http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?pg=2&cat=en_US_80e08708-02ae-4235-8163-15f73f6eb041&lang=en&cr=US&guid=&sloc=en-us&dg=microsoft.public.mappoint&fltr=. However I don't have an answer to the problem there either.

As ever, run procMon as you start the app. It will show you what files and/or registry keys or values are missing. Anything else is pure guesswork.

follow the advice here, if you still have no luck post the log here and we can investigate further.
