Hi all,

I have an application which is giving more no. of shortcuts in usermode than in admin mode... the shortcuts that are additional in user mode are pointing the files in System32. can anyone help me in this regard...?

Is this application install in MSI format? If so, have you tried creating an MST for it to remove all the shortcuts except the ones you want?

have you tried creating an MST for it to remove all the shortcuts except the ones you want? That doesn't really help, though, does it? All that's happening there is you're disguising the problem.

@OP
How are you installing, per-user, or per-machine? What value does the ALLUSERS property have? Depending on the answer, shortcuts will get put into the 'All Users' profile when logged in as local admin, as opposed to the logged-in user's profile.
