Since the K3000 is no longer, how does one image and deploy a Surface Pro 3 tablet?  Thanks!

Follow this article to create a Windows 10 KBE:

Combine that with this article:

I have found that the Windows 10 KBE can boot a Surface Pro directly if you are using one of the newer docks. If you are using a different USB to ethernet adapter you will need to incorporate those drivers into the KBE as outlined in the KB article.

Since the Surface is an UEFI device you need to format the drive differently. We use a scripted install that creates the UEFI in pre-installation tasks and then applies UEFI partitions in mid-level.

A Surface Book is imaging next to me as I'm typing this.

Note that before you image a Surface you should run the Driver Feed Builder tool to capture the drivers and make sure they are in the correct location in the drivers_postinstall share of the K2000.
