Merge Module recompile

Greetings all!

I am fixing a package created by a junior packager who, at the time, did not have Wise's merge modules on his system.

As a result, his package has ALL KINDS of systems files that really SHOULD be pushed from within merge modules (MFC42.dll, etc).

Do any of you know a way to recompile this MSI in such a way that Wise will redetect that some of these files already exist in merge modules and use them instead?

Thanks in advance,

- Sean Roberts (sean_c_roberts@hotmail.com)

The only way that comes to mind is to remove the file and then add it to the package again. Wise will pick it up and suggest you use a MM instead.

Its worth a try anyway...
