Merge module
Hi to all,
Got a problem in merge module. I try to add the file MSVCRT.DLL into my INSTALLDIR (C:\Program file\dir\dir) which belongs to a merge module. When I finish building my MSI and install it, the file doesnt install on my INSTALLDIR instead it install on system file. Does anybody knows how to add merge module file that install on its INSTALLDIR?

Hi Knight!
If you are using InstallShield, can you go to the Redistributables and find the Merge Module there. Go to the properties for the Module and change the Installation Dir to INSTALLDIR.
As far as I know you can't have two installation dirs (if you want to install the same files in two different dirs) for one file/module. Anyone else that have a solution for that maybe?

Yes, im using installshield. I already did what you say, but still installing on systemfolder. It should be installing on [INSTALLDIR]Dir1\Dir2.

It should not matter the install location. As long as the files are registered corectly your application should work.
