Lost Icons Adobe CS3
Howdy All,
It's driving me nuts[8D]. When I advertise a shortcut link (previously unadvertised), I associuate an icon (extracted with iconbuddy). I don't get the icon appearing next to my link after install.
I'm using the shortcut as an entry point for the user configuration repair. This won't work with a std shortcut. I've tried copying the icon locally. The repair happens in the lockdown account which doesn't have rights to All Users.
Any tips on getting the icon to appear.
Regards
Wayne

Ok, found this from Ed on the Altiris Forum which works a treat[:D]
http://forums.altiris.com/messageview.aspx?catid=19&threadid=40693&highlight_key=y&keyword1=shortcut+AND+icons+AND+missing
"1. Rename the .ico file to .exe (make sure the .exe name does not
conflict with any other exes)
2. In the table menu, select the icon binary table, and add a line
to it. In the NAME column, add the name of the icon file with the
exe extension, created in step 1.
3. Double click the DATA column and choose the Action "Read binary
data from file". Browse to the location of the icon exe file from
Step 1 and import the data from this file.
4. Now select the Shortcut table and edit the entry in the
Icon_ column so that it points to the binary table entry for your
icon exe file.
Now compile the result and the correct icon should be present when you
install the application. Note that the view in Installation Expert
does not show the correct icon."
