I do not see anything under hardware for TPM chips, so is there a way to find out if a device has one from KACE?

  • This laptop has a TPM chip in it but it is not showing up on kace.
    • check bios to see if tpm is enabled or not. Ours are enabled but not activated
    • what model of laptop?
      • This particular one is a Latitude E6420, and it is enabled and activated

If you create a report with the wizard and check the tpm info does it show on that report?  My lenovo's all show but none of our latitudes have the chip enabled so I cannot tell

  • This is what I see in the wizard, no TPM(i don't see any way to post a picture): http://i.imgur.com/6AKhfVW.png
    • you have to post it as an answer to add pictures. What version of k1000 are you running?

  • It's not there. We have Version: 6.3.113399
    • I am running 6.4 RC1. You may want to see if you can get into the 6.4 RC round 2 release

But i think the TPM information comes with the K1000 6.4 (also FileVault and Bitlocker are introduced as the new inventory security attributes). In the current release 6.3 there should no information about the Trusted Platform Module.

Share SNMP OID and MIB Information
It’s easy to add custom SNMP OID GETs to your Dell KACE K1000 inventory, but where do you find the exact OIDs you need for a specific device? This is the place to share the OIDs and MIBs you have – and to request the ones you need.
