We have some Lenovo laptops on our network and I was wondering if there was a way to do updates that would be similar to the Dell updates.

You need to configure the updates as Managed Installs.
Currently there are no plans to add such functions for non dell systems too

Step 1:
contact Lenovo and ask how to install the drivers/firmware silently
Step 2:
Setup a Software Item (Inventory > Software > New) and upload the nessesary driver to it
Step 3:
Create a managed installation (Distribution > Managed Installs) to deploy this software item to the clients using Step 1.
You should contact your Jumpstart Trainer because managed installs is part of the jumpstart. - Nico_K 8 years ago
