LDAP issue

I setup my KACE client to use LDAP for user authentication.  It pulled in all of my users from LDAP.  However, if I try to login using the LDAP credentials it takes forever to respond and finally errors with incorrect user id and password.  Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

  • How many ''configuration servers'' have you defined?
Are all the configuration servers valid? (right ip or AD host name, right query and username/passowrd) ?

Do you have multiple LDAP servers configured in the Authentication Settings?  The box comes with several default entries that cause a delay in the log in process.  I just have the single server listed and this made the login process very fast.

For the failure, did the LDAP Browser work when you setup the entry?

The issue was the default LDAPS.  When I removed them, it corrected the problem.
