Kace Agent uninstall/install issue
I was trying to manually install the Kace 5.5 agent on some of our servers but getting an error.
"The older version of Dell KACE Agent cannot be removed. Contact your techincal support group."
Looking in add/remove and services the agent does not show up. Will the registry need to be edited to install the new version?

I didn't have that Registry that was mentioned above (young020). I called and spoke with Dell Kace support and we found another reg key that I needed to delete. After I deleted it I was able to install kace.
The key is:
[HKEY_CLASSES-ROOT\INSTALLER\PRODUCTS\52FB1C540338F6E4C0DFEBF83C39785F
I spoke with Dell kace support because I didn't have that reg key above.
Youneed to go into the registry and delete the key:
[HKEY_CLASSES-ROOT\INSTALLER\PRODUCTS\52FB1C540338F6E4C0DFEBF83C39785F
That worked for me.
The problem ended up being a registry key that needs to be manually removed before installing the 5.5 agent.
The key is [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\AF6276F99ABB12B4B91A64F5E208246F]
Looking for a way to have this remotly removed from the problem computers now. Did not effect all computers but guessing around 800.
Probably, if there was an agent previously. If you contact support and ask for Kaceagent script you can run it and remove all old version of script easily.
