K1000 & Drift

What is the allowable time difference between the K1000 and a server for it to successfully schedule a server within a patch schedule? we noticed a server was 4 mins ahead of the K1000 so it simply said "not scheduled" one the job kicked off.

  • have you tried to use your national NTP server?
You need to configure your firewall to allow the NTP protocol: 123/udp if I recall well.

Do not know, but you can sync your time and see what happens.  Do you have your k1000 set to the same ntp source the server or domain is using.

hi & thank you.

we do. i think the servers in question are not configured properly for NTP, so fault on us. however, it would be nice to understand allowable time gap, i cant imagine its within 30 seconds.
